“This initiative demonstrated solid impact on many small landholders with a proven track record and ability to leverage technology. Not only does it reduce costs and improve yield but it also has environmental benefits. While this initiative reaches a great number of people and is environmentally sustainable, I would like to learn more about its dependence on USAID funds. Is there a way to restructure this program’s financial structure in order to alleviate dependence on a single donor?”
“Good! I was a strong advocate of this initiative as I think it will impact many farmers. It will significantly reduce costs and improve productivity. I would like to know more about what makes this initiative unique from similar initiatives.”
- Changemakers “Cultivating Innovations: Solutions for Rural Communities” Judges: TED, General Mills, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, StuffedandStarved.org, Instituto de Pesquisas Ecológicas (Institute for Ecological Research)
