Problema
Low economical background students in public school still have some difficulty to go to school though the government has given free school fee. They can't go school even they can not continue their study for some reasons. There are lots of issues found in their family life. The issues make them can not go to school. Though school fee is free, but students sometime needs some money to buy workbooks,some subject practices and extra activity.Some students can't afford to pay for them.There are some students who can't go to school because they don't have money for transportation.Based on their reality, I lead some students to help their friends who has issues. I introduce social empathy through my Subject. I choose social theme and encourage students to care and do in action in CLEVER MIN

CLEVER MIND is a way the concept CLEVER MIND is a concept to encourage students to care, concern and solve on social issues around them. CLEVER MIND is not only a concept to learn but also is the way to apply student's care. I insert CLEVER MIND in every theme that I will teach on my subject. I teach ENGLISH. So far, English teachers in Indonesia only teach daily language usage. But, I try to integrate my lesson plan with social issues. Hope, Students can improve their empathy to social issues after they learn it from English Reading Text, Discussion, Social Game and English Appreciation through Audio - Video. Not only understand about social issues but care and do something that can solve social issues around them. With CLEVER MIND,

The concept is integrated on English Lesson plan .It presents on Class Discussion and Class Action.

CLEVER MIND is a guideline for students how to apply their empathy on social issues. Students need practicing to understand how to care how to concern and how to solve social issues. CLEVER MIND is :
C : Community, students make community focus on social issues
L : Leading. However, teacher need to lead them to the action of student's
empathy
E : Encouraging, Encourage their empathy to the real action to solve the
issues
V : Viewing, Viewing directly on social issues around them, give opinion,
feel the issues and imagine if they on those issues
E : Empowering,Empowering the students to discuss, find out the way and
solve the social issues directly.
R : Reporting, Students must make some report on what they do for the issues
that they are trying to solve, The report will be as assessment for
English Subject and also as a reflection for the next step they are
going to do.
M : Managing, Managing the ideas and steps in action
I : Ideas, sharing the ideas and trying make them real
N : Needs. List some need that require for the action
D : DO it, Do the action to solve the social issues,DO MORE LESS TALK
However students who is still teens, need guide to make real their empathy. CLEVER MIND is their guideline for their action. They will get real experience on solving social problem. Experience is the best lesson for their life. Involving them directly in action will build their personality, It's different from only observation social issues or knowing them through reading only.

CLEVER MIND is guideline for students to do in Empathy Action. They join in community at school and make a project to solve the problem. A community consists of students who care and interest on social issues. A project is the way to solve social issues that students arrange by themselves. They make a project, they do the project and they share a result of the project,in other words, "From Students - For Students - By Students". Social issues which I integrate in my lesson plan(curriculum) becomes a method to activate students empathy.Social issues actually has been introduced on Social Subject at school.But, Students only know and understand it as a material of the social subject. Involving students in real action is the best lesson to activate their empathy. It will give experiences.

The first thing is to teach students that God is the top priority of intellectual curiosity. Our relationship is with is not merely a blind belief and offering some practices.. But, to accept God with our intellectual inquiry, and with that understanding we pursue for balance in our thoughts and life. So basic purpose of education should be higher. Financial needs and students to be able to survive in the society is important, but primary thing is that they should take the education as the purpose of their creation, 'the understanding'. In fact, the basic motive of true education is to give students mind freedom from formal education so that they should think freely (a famous educationist, Poul Gray). This is a universal psychological rule, that a mind cannot grow positively under stress and fear. Fear burns the creative abilities of students.. So for mental strength, such funding and help should be made, so that the poor students should not fear any stress, inferiority complexes, and fear. This way, students will become positive thinkers with freedom of mind. And in fact these students will be the true assets of the Nation and Muslim Ummah. So we need to change our priorities and goals of educations. West says, that a person is ok if he is able to earn, no matter he is suffering from individual crisis of his personality. But with God in our life, our level of understanding should be higher which leads to understanding of God, balance in our life as our prophet sw had, and then his created world, and their every student executes his abilities not for him self but for his society with 'God as the center of accountability'. I appreciate Miss. Windy, and request people who can help this program, morally, financially, or by every means.
