Kenya recognises the place of Science and Technology in development yet allocates less than 5% GDP to the sector. Many innovations are made yet few reach public domain for adoption and utilization.

This year the annual Secondary Schools Science and Technology Congress celebrates 50 years, with students exhibiting 21st century innovations and technologies that should help in sustainable development. Yet this remains just an annual Science Congress.

Its time we help develop these youth innovations for livelihood improvement and for sustainable development.
