How's the sport side of things, however? I read "other" in the description. What sports do you offer and are they in any particular connection with your goals for the community as a whole? How do you address the issue of ethnic separation in training for example?

I hope you find the process as useful as I have for my project Boxgirls roadwork which is also located in an economically poor and multicultural environment where it is not so easy to get parent involvement. Can you tell us some of your strategies for getting your neighbourhood activated? How do you do outreach to people who are not your ideal "middle class with free time" volunteer? How do you make what you do understandable and "owned" by the community?
