I loved reading this entry and feel strongly that it represents the "power of place" that is exactly what we're looking for in this competition! It is great the way you're working with the government and engaging the local community on so many different levels.
Could you please include in your response an answer to this question: Describe some unique tourist experiences that your approach provides. Be specific; give illustrative examples.
I know that you submitted an entry last year and included some of the 2007 numbers in your entry. Could you update some of your responses to include 2008 numbers? Particularly in terms of success numbers, etc.
Who are your main partners?
Could you tell me a bit more about the youth at-risk training component? What kind of training is this?
Thanks for submitting your entry and I hope to hear from you soon.
Muchas felicitaciones por estar entre las innovaciones finalistas!!
Adelante con su proyecto!!

“I liked this entry; it is ambitious and successful, especially in participation. At first I was worried about the sustainability of the project because there is a lot of government support. With this type of situation, a program like this may not be able to be translated to other places in the world. But in terms of what it’s trying to achieve maybe we should be encouraging governments to take sustainability into tourism destinations more seriously as well as taking more responsibility in geotourism in general?”
“Using this model in developing countries for the alternative preservation of cities is incredible. What else can I say, this is a great project that has, is and will change the city of Toronto.”
