GMOs A RISK

It is really a pity that we have such foods as GMOs on the World Market. The idea could have been as a quick response to poverty disaster especially in Africa but the side effects were totally ignored. I have been following this issue of GMOs with keen interest and I have personally discovered that it has been too bad with the health of the people because of the same.

I have discovered there are too many diseases in the world especially Africa where these foods are greatly consumed. I have also discovered that it has an effect of human genes because I have seen a change of age at which grey hair appears in a human being. Normally, grey hair start to appear around late fourties or early fifties, atleast in any African being, but Iam seeing very early ages with grey hair, male or female. Obesity is another development which I can directly connect to GMOs.

I can write pages but I need to rest this case with the conclusion that GMOs are GREAT RISK and NOT a Rescue.

If there is a way of wipping this from the market, better do it quickly before it affects many lives. We need a future generation to be free from deliberate diseases, strong and healthy.

Hello Mary,

Thank you for your input on this very important subject.  Certainly obesity is a problem and I'm curious about the link between grey hair and GMOs.  Has this been proven?  Its an interesting observation.  What other side effects have you seen?  How is this problem discussed in Africa?  Are there groups working on this issue?  Would you say that you are in the minority or majority in having these views?  What do you think can be done to ensure that we keep our food safe?

Looking forward to hearing your responses.

Thank you for your mail to me.

I strongly believe that GMOs have affected the genes of people who consume them in greater levels. I am just a layman in biology related issues but I am able to ague this topic with facts which can lead to a very fruitful research.

Those that have followed up the GMO issue on health have certainly seen that there has been a change in the human health and hormones are greatly affected there by causing things like grey hair, fast aging,  and many diseases on the African Continent.

I do not think any one has gone into this research but given time and resource, I would not mind going into one. It shall certainly bring out facts which will be a marvel to many people.

Are you interested in doing this research in Africa? Let me know.

Stay Blessed.

Hey,

Guys all of you are crying about GMO is not gud for humans. But you all forget that population on the earth exploding.

1. Every year almost the area equal to Germany is used to develop cities. where the food will grow.

2. pesticide and herbicides are polluting our environment. the day will come when our land will no more fertile.

3. third world of countries where where 30-70% people live below poverty line. how you are going to provide them food.

4.thousand of billion are expanded on developing medicine and producing many people can't afford them, GMO will help them.

5. from last 20 years all of you are using GMO processed products such as bt cotton. Is that harmful.

6. All of you say , it's environmental hazards . It will change the envirmont. but have you nay proof.

7. All of you talking about those products which didn't prove it self on the standard of safety and consuming.

I MUST STATE HERE THAT A FACT IS A FACT AND MUST BE TAKEN AS SUCH. IN ORDER TO PROVE CERTAIN ASSUMPTIONS A RESEARCH IS THE BEST.

IT IS NOT ABOUT GROWING POPULATION IN THE WORLD. IT IS ABOUT THE LIVES OF THE SAME PEOPLE TO FILL THE EARTH. IF THE EARTH IS FULL OF PATIENTS WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE? DO WE IMAGINE THIS? IN AFRICA THESE GMOs ARE HIGHLY CONSUMED AND THE EFFECT IS ALREADY VIVID. THERE ARE A LOT OF GOOD NATURAL FOODS WHICH CAN BE PROMOTED. WE DO NOT NEED GMOs FOR SURVIVAL. INFACT, WHEN THEY WERE BROUGHT AS SOS NOBODY KNEW THEY WERE HAZARDIOUS TO HUMAN LIFE. IT TOOK KEEN STUDY TO COME TO KNOW THAT GMOs CARRIED HAZARDIOUS ELEMENTS. I DO NOT THINK PEOPLE SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES, THEY JUST THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE FOOD FOR CONSUMPTION.

WE CAN STILL SURVIVE WITHOUT GMOs. WE CAN HAVE BETTER FOODS GROWN IN OUR ABUNDANT LAND. THE COUNTRIES WHICH HAVE NO ENOUGH LAND FOR FARMING SHOULD BE IMPORTING INDIGENOUS FOODS FROM COUNTRIES WHICH PRODUCE IN ABUNDANCE. BY THE WAY, EVEN COUNTRIES WHICH ARE HIGHLY INDUSTROUS STIIL HAVE MUCH LAND FOR FARMING.

IN MY COUNTRY FOR EXAMPLE, AFTER REALISING THE DANGERS CAUSED BY CONSUMPTION OF GMO FOODS, THEY SET UP A POLICY RESTRAINING THE IMPORTATION OF THESE GMOs INTO THE COUNTRY.

THE OTHER TRUTH IS THAT THE PRODUCERS OF THESE SAME GMO FOODS DO NOT EVEN CONSUME THEM. HAS ANYBODY BOTHERED TO FIND OUT WHY? CHECK IT OUT.

I STILL DEFEND THE POINT THAT GMOs ARE A RISK TO HUMAN LIFE ESPECIALLY IN AFRICA WHERE IT IS HIGHLY CONSUMED. WE HAVE SEEN THE SIDE EFFECTS AND AS I STATED EARLIER, I HAVE NOTICED SOMETHING IN AFRICANS WHICH NEEDS RESEARCH. THE GREY HAIR AND OTHER BODY FEATURES BEING AFFECTED.

I WOULD LOVE TO PARTICIPATE IN SUCH A RESEARCH IN AFRICA AND SOON.

I URGE SPONSORS OUT THERE WHO MAY BE WILLING TO SUPPORT THIS RESEARCH.

 friend,

you are talking about only those products ,which couldn't fit on the standard of safety and security. have you ever come accross any case in africa, in which gmo was a standard product and could harm the people.

IAM VERY SURE THAT WAS THE ONLY REASON THEY COULD HAVE BEEN ERADICATED FROM MY COUNTRY'S MARKET.

GMOs ARE HAZARDIOUS TO HUMAN LIFE AND THAT IS FACTUAL. PRODUCTS WITH GMOs OR GMOs THEMSELVES.

THANKX

 my dear friend,

meaning and understanding is 2 different thing . the basic different thing is meaning is understood by average people, and understanding is by only smart ones.

i suggest you go with facts not with truth. I hope you understand the difference between these two.

My Dearest Friend

I SHALL LIVE TO RESPECT YOUR OPINION AND STIIL LIVE TO ENHANCE MY DEBATE BY PROPOSING THAT GMOs ARE A RISK TO HUMAN LIVES.

I BELIEVE THAT EVERY SMART PERSON KNOWS THAT FACTS ARE TRUTHS WHICH ARE EMPIRICALLY TESTED, AND THIS IS WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO PUT FORWARD. UNDERSTANDING IS WHAT BRINGS ABOUT KNOWLEDGE AND THIS IS WHAT IS LOGICAL.

A "MEANING" IS AN IDEA WHICH IS INTENDED TO BE UNDERSTOOD. WHAT I BELIEVE IS THAT WITHOUT AN IDEA, THERE SHALL BE NO UNDERSTANDING.

WHAT HAS BEEN DEDUCED FROM THE RESEARCHES DONE BY CONCERNED PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY MY COUNTRY IS THAT GMOs ARE A RISK TO HUMAN LIVES AND THIS HAS BEEN SEALED.

WHAT IS MY ARGUMENT AT THIS STAGE IS TO ESTABLISH WHETHER THE CHANGES I, AND OTHER PEOPLE HAVE OBSERVED IN AFRICAN MIDDLE AGED PEOPLE ARE CAUSED BY THE CONSUPTION OF GMOs OR NOT. I THINK LET US DEBATE FROM THIS POINT.

I ENJOY THE DISCUSSION BUT LET IT BE WITHIN THE TOPIC.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

actually you coudn't reach the meaning of my sentence . i only asked  , is there any proof that these gmo product is harming , beacuse inmy knowledge there is no any proof aout those product , who fits on the standard of security and saftey has harmed the people.

There is no such studies that shows that it's also healthy foods. One study shows that mice eating genetic modified potatoes/junk foods containing GMO's had significant health problems, read yourself, http://imagine2050.newcomm.org/2008/09/25/the-scary-side-of-genetically-...

I BELIEVE I ARGUED WITHIN YOUR EXPECTATIONS. IN FACT I ADRESSED YOUR CONCERN THREE DAYS AGO WHEN I MENTIONED THAT THERE IS PROOF IN MY COUNTRY THAT GMOs ARE A RISK TO HUMAN HEALTH THAT IS WHY IT WAS REFUSED IN MY COUNTRY.

THANK YOU FOR THIS LONG AND EDUCATIVE DEBATE.
