At the moment, I still have quite a bit of "unknown" food products in my pantry. So I am getting into the habit of calling the "800" numbers printed on food packages when I am preparing meals.
When customer service answers, I state that I am already a loyal customer and I want to keep using their products as long as they can certify all the ingredients in their products are NON-GMO.
Then I ask customer service to send a message to their corp office stating that a customer is requesting they get their products listed on the NON-GMO SHOPPING GUIDE at www.responsibletechnology.org.
THIS IS AN EFFECTIVE STRATEGY!
- Let's also take the shopping guide with us to our grocery stores and show it to the store managers! Let's show them we are paying attention to what they are putting on the shelves.
