Here's a story about how members of the Changemakers community are encouraging the purchase of Fair Trade products:
A bouquet of flowers can say, “I love you,” I’m sorry,” or “Get well.” If they’re Fair Trade flowers they can also say, “I care.”
Every dollar spent on Fair Trade Certified flowers supports the health and livelihood of flower industry employees – mostly women in Central and South America. Flowers that carry the Fair Trade seal have been grown with fewer pesticides than typical flowers and pregnant workers are protected from exposure to dangerous toxins.
