Kyegobola,

Thanks for submitting this entry. What I like most about this entry is that engages the entire community in learning about maternal health and accessing services. I like that it is rooted in utilizing community members to be the driving and sustaining force behind the initiative. I'd really like to know more about you as and how you came up with this idea. I'd also like to know your thoughts on sustaining this iniative with the incentive program. If the "sevens" are to multiply beyond to more groups, will they be able to continue the financial incentive/ award component that seems to be creating the demand to participate in the iniative? If not, are there other alternative community and individual incentives you have considered using beyond financial that could also create demand for participation? Lastly, what types of communities (E.g. demographics) do you think are particularly important to target?

thank you for your comment, i think am growing in my initiatives

the idea behind working with women in low income earners' communities, this would be seen as an opportunity to earn in future and through their groups, they can be able to generate income from the entrepreneurship skills, each club member will be required to contribute to the treasury after every fortnight,as it will be agreed on by the whole system, this money will cater for the forthcoming beneficiaries. in addition, the beneficiaries will be contributing Thirty Percent of their Award to the treasury this will be controlled by the awarding officer while fund raising drives will go on through the local institutions, cooperate organization and individual businessmen, others will be through solicited and unsolicited proposals.

As soon as a member is able to reach the 49 members behind her in the network, then the person starts benefiting from the award which goes on for one year after which it expires

The project will be working with women to improve maternal health, the incentive makes them work tirelessly in recruiting, equipping members with skills and follow up with an anticipated gain after a stated period. however, the assumption is that by the time the person acquires 49 recruits it is a great work done, while other will fall out after a few tries and will not be eligible for the award but the intention will be to encourage them to go on with the work until the 49 people are registered under her.
