Thank you to all entrants for the Changemakers Initiative: Inspiring Approaches to First Nations, Métis and Inuit Learning. We are currently reviewing all of the 266 entries received.

For the Community Awards, a panel of judges composed of First Nations, Métis and Inuit leaders in education will choose the award finalists. On March 7th, finalists will be announced online and people can log in and vote for their favourite ideas or projects. The entries with the most online votes win the Community Awards:
Community Awards: 3 awards of $5,000 (each)

Donner Canadian Foundation Community Awards: 2 awards of $2,500 (each)

For the Regional Awards within Canada and Awards for Specific Areas of Learning, the award sponsors and/or the Ashoka Changemakers team will select the winning entries. Please click here for a full list of awards and the award details.

Winners will be announced on March 26th. Over the next couple of months, we encourage you to showcase your idea or project to your network of supporters so that others learn about what you have submitted.

The early entry winners and honorable mentions of the Inspiring Approaches to First Nations, Métis and Inuit Learning competition were announced here a few weeks ago. Last week, these entrants came together for the first time to discuss the state of innovation in their communities, and the methods that they see are improving the lives of those around them.
