The concern of the elders is that once the fluent Haida speakers pass away the Haida Language would be lost. They wish to remain true to Haida language, heritage and culture – always. This is why the Skidegate Haida Language House opened.

Reason:

Preserving and learning Haida language is integral to Haida culture. SHIP has worked on Haida dictionaries to apps!
