Contribuir al fortalecimiento de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil, mediante el desarrollo de estrategias y soluciones enfocadas a la mejora de su desempeño e impacto a la comunidad.

Civil society as a whole, presents a third sector, responding to needs that neither government nor business is able to address; thus occupying an important position in the formation of a citizenry that fosters the sustainable development of the country. The growing relevance of this sector creates a window of opportunity for civil society organizations (CSOs), through which, by virtue of their functioning and outreach, they can achieve a greater impact on their target communities. We are seeking to take advantage of this window of opportunity through the development of managerial, operational and strategic training for CSOs, that will enable them to conceptualize a specialized consultative model.

To design strategies to strengthen each individual beneficiary organization based on the particular characteristics that will promote its development

The project will be innovative in that it will generate alternative strategies for organizational development through a formative process which will include training in motivation, organizational self-analysis, and will have the following characteristics: - Participative - Inclusive - Transparent - Non-intrusive. Additionally, the systematization of the procedures which will be carried out with each organization will permit us to conceptualize a consultative model fitted to the circumstances of this sector, focusing on the organization as the source of its own development.
Plan de proyecto
The development of a conference for CSOs that focus on different issues - to secure their participation in the project; - to define criteria for participation in the project based on the needs of the population served; - to establish guidelines for collaboration in collectively carrying out the project; - to design tools to detect and evaluate areas of opportunity; - to collectively implement a community diagnostic; and, - to jointly develop a work plan with each organization, to carry out the formative process.

We seek to create a portfolio of strategic players who can support the enrichment and feasibility of the project. Formalizing the collaboration among institutions will create a multiplier effect. Some of the prospective organizational participants in the project are: - Fundemex (Mexican Enterprise Foundation A.C.); - CODESOL (Social Development Council); - Cemefi (Mexican Center for Philanthropy); - INDESOL (National Institute of Social Development); and - Other organizations specializing in the development of NGOs.
Eficacia
The initial objective is to impact ten NGOs directly and approximately 500 beneficiaries indirectly.
Impacto
Our planned impact goes beyond the quantitative measure of ten NGOs and their 500 or so clients; creating a qualitative ripple effect in terms of the improved management that will allow those participant NGOs to more effectively address the needs of their clientele in the intermediate- and long-term.
Scaling up Strategy
The poor grasp of the importance of professional training and an unclear understanding of the attendant benefit has contributed to a generalized lack of motivation on the part of NGOs to dedicate resources to staff development.

Además de la sustentabilidad financiera, ¿cómo planeas expandir y sostener tu proyecto?
La creación de un consejo de administración apoyado y conformado por lideres de diversos ámbitos: políticos, sociales, académicos, de investigación y empresariales, donde como principal aportación será la institucionalización y experiencia al proyecto. Ya que con el conocimiento y asesoría se podrá expandir los alcances del proyecto. A la par seguir creando redes y alianzas que conjuguen sus intereses con los objetivos del proyecto, y de esta manera colaboren para que se sostenga en el tiempo. También involucrar a las organizaciones que van participando como acompañamiento a las que comiencen en otro ciclo.
Financiación creativa
In the face of increasing needs, the private sector has become aware of the importance of good corporate citizenship, which goes beyond mere respect for law to embrace the idea of business as a major stakeholder in local development. To foster this project we would create a program of corporate sponsorship for NGOs, we would match up the social interests and resources of each company with the complementary mission of an NGO. In this way, a company would be able to direct its community activity toward supporting a specific organization over the duration of its professionalization.

Continuing in-service training for the work group, addressing themes of non-profit management, public policy and civil society. Also a multidisciplinary group of consultants with national or international experience, ready and able to provide on-line or face-to-face technical assistance.

Motivación
I began by doing a workshop on ecology in a shelter, after which I sought to become more involved, earning a diplomate in social leadership, where I designed a Collective Farm Organization Development Project in a rural community. This experience led me to the decision to commit my life to this type of endeavor, since I see myself as having something of value to offer to society’s well-being. That is how I became involved in working with NGOs over the course of my own professional career. In the face of the growth in the non-profit sector, it is clear that the professionalization of NGOs must not only keep pace with the growing number of NGOs, but must also address the need for higher quality services for their target audiences. I have become one of a group of four like-minded professionals with complementary skill sets: Iván Zúñiga, Brenda de Hoyos and Manuel Nuñez – who dream of creating a better world through this project. Accordingly, we have committed our knowledge, skills and abilities toward the realization of this dream, which will allow us to achieve a professional impact on the NGO community.
Premios o reconocimientos
We have received individual awards such as: Outstanding student from the class of 2007 from the Monterrey Technological Institute (Monterrey Campus) in the area of Sustainable Social Development; and Outstanding student from the class of 2007 from the Monterrey Technological Institute (Monterrey Campus) in the area of Social Leadership. We have receive the group recognition of Diplomates in Social Leadership.

Promueve un movimiento juvenil más consciente de las necesidades actuales del mundo, donde ya no es suficiente sólo entregar productos y servicios, sin generar sustentabilidad y autosuficiencia en la gente. Ya que el fortalecimiento de las organizaciones será un paso para profesionalizar el impacto que se tenga en los actos voluntarios y de necesidades básicas. Visionando un mejor mundo que podemos empezar cada uno de los jóvenes, aportando los talentos, conocimientos y habilidades que se tienen.

En esta etapa que vivo busco emprender aquello que le da sentido a mi vida, concretándolo en la Asociación Civil que conformamos actualmente mi grupo de 4 personas. A mediano plazo de 5 años consolidar la asociación y comenzar su crecimiento, visiono mi crecimiento profesional a la par del crecimiento de la asociación, ya que cuando se consolide y podamos generar nuestra propia investigaciónl, concretar programas propios, generación de recursos intelectuales y financieros, podremos seguir creciendo en el impacto a la sociedad. De esta manera el reto crece cada vez más, y con ello el interés por seguir adelante, reformulando, mejorando, creando, recreando, transfiriendo.
