SMEDP aims to improve the competitiveness of SMEs in Vietnam. It is working with a multi-stakeholder approach including public and private institutions at a national level. The Programme consists of four closely interrelated components: 1. SME Policy, 2. Local Economic Development, 3. Competitiveness of Selected Sub-Sectors and Value Chains and 4. Advanced Technical Services/ Material Testing.

Reason:

It gives a much need boost to the local economy by supporting SMEs in the region.
