What is the primary problem your venture is trying to address and how are you addressing it (or planning to address it)?
The mysterious artwork of Nepali Calligraphy is at critical stage, most are unaware about the beauty and significance of this historical art. I want to raise awareness about the “beauty and significance” of this kind of artwork found in temples, caves and historic buildings. I have started an informational website on the internet about Nepali calligraphers and the art itself(http://calligraphynepal.com). I am certain that this project will act an essential source of archive and for economic purposes. Workshop on calligraphy will aware students about nepali calligraphy and make them creative.

Calligraphy Art that has gone unnoticed can sustain life of artists, calligraphynepal.com can be the best platform to show their art. Students who learn calligraphy in the workshop can carve their future as calligraphers. It could be a good source of archive and for economic purposes.
Project plan
I plan to research calligraphy art in the six world heritage sites in kathmandu and write he materials and publish it in the website calligraphynepal.com weekly and organize a calligraphy workshop on nepali calligraphy in one of the world heritage site for 3 students each from five secondary schools.
Interviewing historians and calligraphers and taking pictures of the calligrahy work.

Art shops and art galleries are some of my partners. We came in contact during the research of calligraphy and while organizing awareness program.

15 Students of five secondary school will learn the art of nepali calligraphy in the six month and students of these school will be aware about nepali calligraphy.

La historia
Motivation
I am a television reporter and i was doing a story on calligraphy i met a calligrapher. I knew that Nepali Calligraphy is one of the artistic art in the world but the art has remained unnoticed so far, so i started a website on calligraphy and started awaing people abuout this art.

Chosen as one of the best idea by Ashoka Forum for Yound Social Entreprenur. Also covered by local media.
Broader context
Holding a workshop on calligraphy will make youth creative, fresh and young that will urge them to aware others also about calligraphy. A good network of young calligraphers can make society more creative and more skillful.
Ongoing
I can see there are bigger oppertunities waiting for me with my project in calligraphy.
