I believe in making the world a better place. Change starts with me and ripples-across to every network that constitute my surrounding
I love working in Rural Africa. The innocence and freshness of the surrounding reminds me of the intention of my creator to uplift his people from humble beginnings. Nothing brings me joy like running a rural initiative out to empower its people
Paleo-anthropologists tell us that Africa is the cradle of mankind, yet this cradle has been trapped into a complex 'poverty-circle' which must be broken in order to ensure a harmonious and peaceful co-existence amongst its people. I believe change begins at home and my home is in Africa
Anthropologist by training and Journalist by birth, my pieces on community empowerment has been published in local Kenyan dailies. Since graduating from the University of Nairobi in 2007, I was part of the team which launched THE KIBERA JOURNAL, a slum-based newspaper which focuses on community-driven empowerment in the largest slum in Africa (Kibera in Nairobi). I still serve in rural boards as a community development expert as well as offer free-lance advice on community development issues.
