One can move two thousand, but two can move ten thousand. If we all do our part, in our small section of the world, we can make a difference.
This change must be however, in line with the needs of the people you are assisting. It cannot be your preconceived ideas of what you think they need. By getting along side people, you can find ways to help them at their level.
Our earnest desire it to see education break the poverty circle, with the aim of helping these villagers become self-reliant. To help these children in and isolated and financially underprivileged area, have the opportunity to take advantage of the 21st century, if they have a desire to do so. To not only assist in their education, but to help the children to make a difference in their own community.
The far northern islands of Vanuatu in the South Pacific and specifically the Banks Islands. Later we would like to move onto other isolated areas, either in Vanuatu or other similar places where there is a need.
I passionately want to see top achieving students have the opportunity to have a high school education. To see those students return to their home, even if only through holiday programs and make a difference in their own community. Many of their parents cannot read or write. I passionately want to see these children become financially independent, able to assist their parents move forward from a cashless society.
We would like to see donor funding come into the Foundation, to assist more of these people.
