I have been involved during 2008 - 2009 with Non-Profits (whose focus had an educational mission) and Individual citizens online as a Virtual Volunteer. I assisted at least 4 different NPO's last year, numerous private citizens nationally and globally; in order to learn, help, and effect some type of change and give support. I have under development an online web application that is part of this research and development. Getsmartmoodle is a part of the Moodle online educational portal system. I have at present been online now for 8 months and I have been striving towards creating an online presence. This includes trying to understand what is the best route for me to take. I have effected not only change in myself, but I feel that continued efforts in this arena will continue to produce positive results ..

I do have a student presently in Cairo, Egypt that is interested in learning more about English as a Second Language to try to improve his skills so that he may eventually travel in a work related capacity to the United States for a conference .. I have put information up on site that allows both of us to share the same wiki - however, he has his wiki and I have a wiki - I can access his from my administrative end though ..

I have lived in Virginia almost my whole life; a native of this Commonwealth. I have been a few places and once I went overseas to the United Kingdom with a college class, for two months. But what I presently feel a great deal of fondness for or a connection with is my online activities. I have made in the last calendar year a few friends, put a web application up online, learned how to do repairs on my website, and tried to help others when I am able to online and in this virtual manner ..
