MANDALA HOUSE is a changemaker because we give people the tools to change themselves! our creative approach to self-recovery & healing restores trust in oneself & their community. this forward thinking model not only changes the way others view survivors, but how survivors view themselves!
the chaos of india reminds me of NYC. the smells, the sounds, the friction, the energy of both places--it sums up what, for me, it means to be alive.
i want people to find the courage within themselves, to be themselves.
MANDALA HOUSE is currently establishing international programs teaching yoga to survivors of gender-based violence in post/conflict countries.
while the program model adapts to each country & partner organizations exact needs/abilities, our goal remains the same: to provide a two-week yoga teacher-training program to survivors. upon completion, graduates may apply for a teaching grant that provides a stipend for each public class (be it in a village, a clinic, a hospital, a school) the graduate teaches.
