Youth Fusion works to engage youth in learning and increase graduation rates in Quebec high schools. All of our programs are developed by asking young people what would motivate them to attend school, and adapting activities to meet their needs and interests. We are also distinguished by our commitment to be present in the schools on a daily basis throughout the school year.
Our activities contribute to transforming the school environment in order to make it more welcoming, more dynamic and more participatory, and by strengthening links between the school and the community.
Our work is successful because of the incredible outpouring support we receive from universities, school boards, foundations, companies and local organiations. We partner with 8 Quebec universities to provide high calibre project coordinators who are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and dedicated to their work with youth. Our northern project coordinators live and work in Eeyou Istchee for 4-10 months and, through a daily presence in the school, build strong relationships with students which are at the heart of all our work.
We are passionate about transforming schools to make them more relevant, fun and empowering, so that young people from all different backgrounds are motivated to attend, and receive the support that they need to succeed.
