Dr. Christelle Scharff is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Pace University in New York City in the US (http://www.pace.edu). She has a Ph.D. from the Université Henri Poincaré of Nancy in France. Her research focused on global software engineering and mobile for social change. She was awarded grants from NSF, IBM, Microsoft, NCIIA, and Google. She initiated a project called MobileSenegal (http://www.mobilesenegal.org) that organizes meetups, bootcamps, competitions, and training for students and faculty in Senegal. She is one of the facilitators of Mobile Monday Dakar (http://mobilemondaydakar.org). She is also the founder of SenMobile (http://www.senmobile.com), a technology startup specialized in mobile solutions for the general population in education, health, and sport.
