Equality for all
I’m trained as a professional sports coach in football and sport and disability. I have worked for twenty years as a psychomotor therapist in in- and outpatient psychiatric care using sport as a tool for mental health/psychiatric disorders/psychosocial problems. I’ve worked for a year as a sports teacher/staff trainer in a school for boys with an intellectual handicap in Sri Lanka. Since June 2005 I’m working through Voluntary Service Overseas as a football development worker/capacity builder for Moving the Goalposts Kilifi, a community based organization that uses football as a tool to empower girls in rural Kenya. I’ve written one of the 16 proposals that were chosen finalists in the NIKE/Changemakers competition in 2008
