I am medical doctor (MBBS) from Bangladesh and Masters’ in Health Economics from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok Thailand. I have been working in public health/development field over 20 years, both nationally and internationally, where community is the integral part. I started my career at rural public health facilities at Islamic republic of Iran for its Ministry of Health programme, which includes primary health, maternal and child health, water & sanitation, child development and family planning programme. Since 1998, I have been working with large international NGOs, donors; national NGOs and UN agencies in Bangladesh for community based essential service delivery in primary health care (USAID’s NIPHP/UFHP programme) in technical leadership role in team dynamics and provided technical assistance for developing strategic plans for the partner NGOs. I have experienced working with USAID, DFID and EC funded MNCH projects with different dimensions of project management, training, M & E at leadership capacity; performed as Director Program for FPAB. I facilitated the process of local level planning for joint UN MNCH project for MOH&FW at selected Upazilas. I worked with Bangladesh government Planning Commission for developing policy brief on community involvement for reproductive health care, and work with MOH&FW Health Economics unit for strategy development on health insurance for protecting community’s health. I am one of the oversight committee members to Country Coordination mechanism (CCM) for Global Fund in Bangladesh. I have experienced providing technical assistance to local NGOs for its strategic plan development, operational plan implementation, designing logical framework for M & E purpose in course of my assignments with USAID project and Family Planning Association of Bangladesh (FPAB). I facilitate training and organization development workshop for changing systems to a sustainable approach. I have UN experiences with UNFPA, UNICEF and WHO for achieving MDG 4 and MDG 5 through local level planning (LLP) exercise for maternal and neonatal health project ensuring community participation. I have work experiences of reproductive and sexual health along with HIV/AIDS for Save the Children USA and CARE Bangladesh. I am used to work for resource mobilization, proposal development and provide technical assistance for that. I have sound knowledge on qualitative research on health. I am a development practitioner for gender mainstreaming. I often review and to participating technical documents preparation, technical manual development and literature review. My expertise focused on strategic project development, and support to management, team building, M & E with Logical frame work approach, document research, documentation, and dissemination. I practice knowledge management with in organization and outside through networking. I am confident and excellent in English and computer. I am physically OK to work in difficult situation. I am knowledgeable to child protection and rights in generic form. My health economics knowledge helps me to exercise pro-poor strategic development and advocacy for policy formulation.
