Hi Raymark,

A few years ago I happened to be asked about such a system for parts of rural Mexico...I don't recall the final configuration but here are some links which may help you and provide some guidance.

Then, here is an interesting link for a friend's company with a very unique wind turbine...http://www.aerotecture.com/

Good luck,

Brian

Dear Raymark,
The technology of Solar or wind powered pumps is good especially for rural communities, which in some developing countries arenot connected to the power grid. Could you throw more light on sun conditions, wind speed and the capacity of the pump that could be powered by energy generated in this technology. The availability of enough solar radiation and wind speed have always been the biggest limitations to scaling up of this techology.

We have actually converted some solar flood lights transition boxes into a pump controller, we should have a viable model for small farming communities in a year.
