An excellent project, it really identifies an issue facing the development of female coaches and the subsequent impact on the participation of females in football.
Have you made links with universities, ladies football clubs, professional clubs?
Could this model be adapted for other sports?
Keep up the good work, look forward to seeing more of the project.
Initially we made links with football clubs and the London and South East Girls' Centre of Excellence league however we do plan to build a relationship with local universities which will widen the catchment area as there will be many suitable candidates amongst the students.
This project can definitely be replicated with other sports, not only within the women's game but also the men's. It's all about providing a strong structure of support and mentoring in coaching.
I appreciate that encouraging more women to serve as football coaches has two principle benefits, LPFF: It enhances the credibility of both female players and female coaches. In addition, some female players, naturally, will flourish more with the mentoring of a female coach than they would with that of a male.
Your effort seems aimed at accomplishing yet another important and related goal, too, in that it would establish a pattern of women's involvement in the sport through multiple generations. That is, a girl might start as a player under a female coach, enjoy a successful playing career, move onto becoming a player/coach herself, and finally contribute much as a coach. This would constitute a path to sports involvement that would appeal to many women.
Best of luck with your efforts.

Research shows that girls are more likely to stay involved with the game if they have positive role models as coaches. This project was developed as a reaction to that research.
We are still in the early stages of the project with the first group of coaches going through the course at the moment. We have had a great deal of interest from potential candidates so there is an expressed need for the project. We will keep everyone updated with the project via the website.
Congratulations to LPFF on its entry and work! I will keep checking progress on your website.
I would like to invite you to join the Women Win group. Women Win is the first ever international women’s fund that supports sport and physical activities as instruments for social change and women’s empowerment.
Women Win will use the competition to find a fellow between the ages of 15 and 65 years old that positively change the lives of women and girls in their community through sports.
We would love to hear more about LPFF on the group page.
