I realised this as an ESOL and Literacy teacher also in a variety of life situations I have witnessed. I have spent all I have in time money and energy to begin to makethis stuff availiable to beginners in a way that they can largely teach themselves-
The idea came to me reading Friere"Pedagody of the Oppressed"
I want time allowing,(I am now seventy), to submit these ideas and artifacts everywherebut particularly in the third world,this competition is an arena ;I want also to find funds in the longer run to form a foundation which can shunt money in one direction (via UNICEF and Oxfam) directly to those in need and information
to teachers and students and parents.
Hopefully this information will reach people trying to learn English pronunciation ,reading and the letter formation of the Roman alphabet;I feel what I have to offer will make learning more fun and less arduous than it is now
These methods can adjust to very large groups as well as individuals.The large classrooms of the third world
can easilly use these methods at the outset of English learning and the students in many cases will be less regimented and cramped.
A parent can also use these individually with their child
The Inuit could use these ways of learning English and letter formation to give them more access to English as a key to jobs,science,education,business skills,informationabout the world in general
And English skills may well be needed given the inroads global warming,the petroleum and gas industry etc are making on their way of life
Any person of a lower economic level and the learning will provide money.My contribution would be the gym and parlor games for learning literacy on http://exponentials.webs.com/index.htm
and a number of digital interactive games I have loaded onto megaswf also I hope to illustrate the 2000 words
needed for learning any languge so that these images can bridge the information divide

Empowerment via specifically the learning of English would impact on all aspects of life in the community
specifically on a personal level it gives access to ideas on the internet,and to science,business and acedemic achievement

I also hope that within fifteen years the inevitable empowerment of the iIuits economically,politicallyand on a personal effectiveness level willl be beginning to take placein fifteen years it could be well underway
An informed person in what is going to be a world of incessant and frequently dangerous and upsetting change is equipped to make better decisions-Most information is in English.
Networking,entrepreneurship,jobs,acedemic,trades,trade,fishing,mining chances will be increased

Some of the students I studied multi-media with could be useful if I could afford to pay them-more work would get done-I want the people using my stuff to get it free with no obligation to contribute anything even to the charities that I hope to get money to via this site eg UNICEF,OXFAM ,Red Cross and those on the frontline of fighting hungerand displacement and easilly preventable desease .I am hoping one of these will give mea means of shunting money to them more quickly

finished 3 years ago- did it with theidea of developing this-Couldn't stand preople dying on my TV/ set and the Hunger Site proded me-I am scratching by and if I win will donate my winnings-part of my prize will go back to the Inuits-I have council housing and I am used to living sparcely and leaving as little footprint as possible

A Space on the web with a domain and the capacity to host Flash interactive Games and quizzes-(I have a lot of these already made-had some on MegaSWF found someone had my programming for sale and had wrecked my site so really need a viable one
Ideally
A Skype link up which would allow me to explain face to face to people how to use stuff and iron out problems for them
Sufficient money to fund a Flash interactive games expert.
Volunteers who could link in with me and get the bonus of at least learning basic Flash Action Script
