Woodroffe HS and Morley Community School Youth Exchange
Woodroffe High School in Ottawa and Morley Community School in Alberta have been approved for a YMCA Youth Exchange Project for the spring on 2012. The theme of the exchange is bring young people from different background to build cultural awareness and empathy towards one another and to foster lasting relationships that will help create a more equitable and sustainable society. Although the YMCA covers our transportation and housing costs, we need to raise about $3000 to cover the expenses of the students from Moreley while they are in Ottawa. We plan to take them the National Arts Centre, the Museum of Civilization, Gatineau Park, the YMCA youth leadership camp, among other places while they are in Ottawa.
