The operation of this method is functionally carried out by Credit Officers who are in the field, mobilizing marketing and managing the clients in various groups. They are in turn supervised by a Branch manager who oversees the operation of four Credit Officers in a Branch. There are also Area Mangers that oversee the operation of four Branches in an Area. The essence of this structure is to ensure that the program is efficiently and effectively monitored for sustainability. Currently we are using a loan tracking software (loanperformer) but we intend to use a better and broader one that will help use transform into a bank.

Poverty as a concept is a global challenge and a household name in many countries of the world but it is more of an experience for developing countries than a mere concept. Nigeria as a country is facing this reality of poverty at this stage of development. After the end of Nigerian Civil war 1970, many surviving families have been struggling of survival. The worst hits are people living in the war tore states or zone in Eastern Nigeria among which is Imo State. The formal financial sector was also distressed between the year 1994 and 1997 and presently under reconstruction and reformation which has made it very difficult for small entrepreneur to source fund for economic activities. It is even more difficult for women to secure Credit Facilities from Commercial banks especially when they are poor and cannot provide any collateral. Ironically the women from this part of the country are enterprising and hardworking; many of them are bread winners for their families. They are engaged in food processing petty trading e.t.c. The government is trying her best to fight poverty in the country, but her effort is doing little or nothing at all. Because her effort are only couched in statistical figures and policies which never get to the target beneficiaries. As an NGO our intention in the process over the years has made positive impact in the lives of many beneficiaries and that is why we intend to expand our activities to reach the teaming population of Owerri, the state capital of Imo State and her environs.
