I believe the saying goes "give a man a fish and he eats for a day teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime."

I believe teaching orphans carpentry skills will not only help them earn a living in the future, it helps give them hope and self confidence now.

yes i agree one friend from Africa wrote to me:

thats why it is important to teach them how to fish and to not give them a fish,

May this project will be able to go on and may they start to learn how to fish not to recive fish but to start to know and have skills to catch the fish,

It does little good to save a child's life if they are not offered the skills for survival once they are grown. The idea of teaching them to build furniture is a good one. If they learn to build furniture, they will be equipped to build many other things as well, thus giving them versatile skills in a culture where competition for jobs is keen. Surely God can bless such a program.
