Soccer for peace-Kenya

Most of the great lakes regions surrounding nation like Somali,Sudan,Eritrea,Rwanda and Burundi had an history of conflicts and blood shed where by most of the time some countries used to play there International football tournament both home and away in neighboring countries in fear of insecurity for the visiting teams good example is Somalia which used to play in Kenya up to this moment.So in early 1990s,Kenya had a problem of ethnic conflict between some communities with potential players in soccer and this affected our soccer in standard of world Coca cola FIFA ranking this disturb my mind portraying worse future for our country .

So i looked soccer as one of initiative to encounter this problem.And 2004,I formed football club of children of under 14 years where we started going for friendly games by name Mathare valley which was actually affected by the same clashes.In 2006 through Universal Peace Federation which i co-ordinated my self and team become the first soccer team in Kenya going to other parts of Nairobi slum initiating peace. And from this time we were doing programs and inviting more age groups to my project.In 2008 this year Kenya had post election violence whereby some areas were more affected in few slum of Nairobi but areas of Pumuwani where we had staged our first peace did not experience any single violence.After that Kenya was picked to host it's first peace festival after mediation by former Secretary General UN koffi Ann between President Kibaki and Right Honorable Prime minister Rail Oding.

I was appointed by Universal Peace Federation in Kenya to organize and co ordinate Global Peace Festival Soccer which was played in Nairobi University August 2008.

I received participation and co ordination of successful International Global Peace Festival Soccer 2008,Texas Cup played in Kenya 2008 certificate for participation and co ordination and a pointed as the team manger for under 17 soccer selected from over 50 teams who participated in that tournament the team is due to travel to Texas in December 2008 for friendly matches . Service For Peace-Kenya co ordinater Nairobi River Clean up August 2008.The club has received 2 awards since 2005.In 2006 there were the champion for Glory Outreach Assembly .In 2008 champion for Global Peace Festival soccer for peace,

1.Assisting communities community development especially in Environmental Conservation,community health hygiene and sanitation to minimize child held expenses within our communities,
2.To ensure the progress of our members by educating them on different management skills,effect of drugs.alcohol, exposure to rural sociology, family life education and any other important aspect of life.
3.To perform within relevant laws,act deeds or thing to enhance members benefits an well being.
4.Most of the youths are active in sport especially soccer where we assist them in evaluating and realizing soccer as earning career.

I am comfortable with youth soccer and all other activities going on through my initiative.It has actually assisted me to partner with many peace movement and giving me broad mind towards peace initiative .I came also to understand many things in relation to sport which has assisted to fit in the society and achieve my objectives, through strong management structure.I came up with ten years strategic plan of my sport club with the booklet of 17 pages covering various program and project expected to run between the year 2007 to 2017.We are now registered by the government and able to perform all community development project without any problems.More youths are coming and joining our club giving me more interest on new initiative for there benefits and success .
