Discussion about entry: "Readers Are Leaders" 1st Community Library in Ekiti State, Nigeria

Thank you for taking the time to log into my entry. This has been an incredible season for my foundation, Adassa Adumori Foundation, Inc. If anyone had told me that my life would change this much by simply saying "YES" I would have told them they were joking. We continue to forge ahead with all the work to be done in Emure Kingdom.

It is also exciting to see the Emure community rally around the "Readers are Leaders" Library project and it is our hope that we will be able to accomplish what we started; which is creating the very first community library in Ekiti State.

It is amazing how generous people are when they catch the vision. To date, our Tennessee friends have donated 4000 books and we are still counting! Now the challenge lies with shipping these books to the community in Nigeria. If this competition were granted, it will certainly help to ensure that when we return this January 2010 to Emure Kingdom, the library will be officially launched.

We cannot do this without your assistance. So please log in,  tell us what you think about this project. If you have suggestions which can assist, we are open to them.

Help us put a smile on the faces of our children in Emure Kingdom. They are smart, hardworking and eager to learn. But without these books, they can only go thus far.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Dr Fumi Ogunleye Hancock
