The plan is very ambitious, which is definitely interesting and inspiring. More than focusing solely on the alliances with the BIG 5, I would challenge you to think of the implementation challenges this task will require. That means, for each of the success factors you mentioned, try to come up with a back up plan.
Specially if you intend on working with different organizations or partners in 30 different countries, managing that can be really complex. It may be worth spending some time thinking on the daily operation of the BIG5 NET for FOOD.
I admire your ambition and think it makes perfect sense to set aggressive goals, but, as important as accessing funding is being able to deliver. I would probe you on what will the capital expenditure needed for the cottage industries to manufacture the goods you are looking to sell, how are logistics going to work, from the producer site to people´s homes.
You have probably thought of that before, I think it is just a matter of detailing it in your plan.
Thank you for your appreciation of my entry in the competition. I am working round the clock to prepare for the initiatie. Working with cottage indusry in Africa does not require much capital because the food industry plants are all operational and are looking for opportunities in growing business and making business releant to the challenges of nutrition in the world. In Africa where i have done alot of work in the food industry, fortification is just branding, it therefore does not require extra capital different from operating capital of the company which all these manufacturers we wish to work with are fine. Engaging industry is simply social work, if the proposal has revenue potential food maufacturers are running for it. Regarding global logistics i suggest a profitable corporation trading for profit will be formed by BIG 5 NET for FOOD. Food distribution is highly profitable, while specialised distribution for rich nutrient supplements and fortified foods is non existance in the 30 countries i studied, the food aid agencies will also offer this corporation contract. Do you know that relief agencies have not invested adequately in nutrient supplements and fortified foods in food aid operations? Once established i think work will be fine. Give me idea and contacts of some donor. Thanks and welcome your advice always
