I identified injustice toward Mexican students within USA schools. I volunteered in central Mexican schools for 5 summers before moving into a rural barrio in Central Mexico with my family, doing doctoral research to better define resident's needs while I was building and managing a literacy center.

To create an early intervention program staffed by volunteers in a Spanish immersion program where local caregivers can obtain food and knowledge. There would be help available for all children and on-going assistance with special needs children.
Born in New Mexico. Lived or visited every USA state except Hawaii as a military dependent child or as an adult pilot. Usually worked in food service as an adult with Mexican immigrants or as a volunteer minister. Lived on the Mexico/Arizona border and worked in special education or as director of a bilingual early intervention program. Obtained am M.S. in Business Systems Management (1989), an EdS in Special Education (2007) and graduate May 2010 with a PhD in Special Education, Bilingual Education and Language, Reading and Culture. Permanent home in a barrio in central Mexico where I run a non-profit literacy and educational special needs program.
