Joseph Sinatra is the Associate Director of Partnerships for Ashoka’s Changemakers initiative, building strategic alliances and communities around new opportunities for social innovation. Changemakers works to build active communities that learn from and collaborate with each other’s entrepreneurial approaches to the world’s most pressing challenges. As a key member of Ashoka’s Global Development team, Joseph has helped lead Ashoka towards greater integration and record levels of investment. He has wide-ranging experience in the citizen sector, having worked in refugee resettlement, microcredit, and on a geographic analysis of the Rwandan genocide. As a native Washingtonian, Joseph enjoys discovering new local ethnic restaurants and the outdoors. He graduated from the University of Maryland – College Park and earned a master’s degree in Development Management from the London School of Economics.
