I am a changemaker because that is what I do. I was put on this earth to help and change my environment, community and circumstances...change is a constat thing but not eveyone can accept it.
The change that I really really really passionately want to happen is the mindsets fo the youth and the violence and poverty that continues to plague them and I believe that it all starts with your mindset so I desperate would like to change that.
I have been a student and a member of Urban Youth Action incorporated for 5 years. I was a student in the program 8-12th grade and graduated from the prgram. I currently intern forthe organization now. I will always continue to come back to this program because it was instrumental in my development and change as a young person. I grew up in the Eastside of Pittsburgh in a plce called Larimer raised by a Great Grandmother due to drug absent parents. My Great grandmother raised 3 generations. I attend Lincoln Elementary Technology Academy K-5th then when my Great Grandmother passed away I moved to Wilkinsburg with my Father's mother and older sister to attend Kelly Elementary for 6th grade. Then I attended Wilkinsburg Jr/Sr Highschool 7-12th grade and graduated with honors. I now am the first person in my family to graduate highschool and attend college. I attend Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and I am a sophomore. Just finished my frshman year with a 3.0 GPA.
