Brief:I am presently the leader of a youth led initiative called OROL Youth empowerment Initiative that empowers young people on issues of sexual and reproductive health and rights. In OROL we strive to empower young people to lead change and our activities cut across education, social activities and advocacy for
young people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights. The thematic issues cut
across, leadership skills, human rights, gender equality and empowerment. We also educate the youths on how they can make informed choices, have access to youth friendly health care services, and also how they can take full control of their bodies because we believe that their rights can only be meaningful if they have access to the correct and adequate information about choices.
I have worked on various health researches, programs, International conference presentations and publications relating to HIV Prevention and care for refugees, young people and most at risk populations such as men who have sex with men (MSM). I have deep interest in improving the well being of youths especially in the field of sexual and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS prevention and care. I have worked as a youth leader during my University days where the Chairman fund raising committee for the Mega Conference of All Nigerian United Nations Students and Youths Association.
I am presently the National focal person for Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS a youth led global network of more than 5000 young leaders and adult allies working on youth and HIV/AIDS in 150 countries worldwide. I have been able to empower other young people through membership forum in my organization and these young people act as catalyst in the wider community. I have more than 10 executives and over 60 non executive members working with me to touch lives. We have carried out sustainable programs in many communities here in Nigeria amongst vulnerable young people
