As a community-based, non-partisan society, the Council is able to bring a range of partners and people together to facilitate better understanding and successful initiatives through social research; engagement, facilitating and convening; community awareness, communications and education; social needs assessment; tracking and monitoring and project development and evaluation.
The work of the Community Social Planning Council is focused on achieving outcomes in the following four program areas:
• Reducing and Preventing Poverty and enhancing quality of life
• Housing Affordability
• Community Economic Development
• Sustainability of the Region (social, economic and environmental)
