Lil' Audrey's Safe Place Foundation

Lil' Audrey's Safe Place Foundation is an organization founded to assist the Alumni of the Foster Care System to seek a post-secondary education who are homeless live in our facility until they complete their education . We have hundreds of thousands of teenagers exiting the system annually who become homeless and are forgotten. We attempt to reach these youth and young adults to become acheivers in life. we offer them continued health sevices, mentorship, transportation, leadorship and a variety of opportunities to become productive citizens.

Audrey Banks, an educator in the Houston, Texas are Magnolia and lower end, of the city is honored with her committment and dedication to the community by opening her home, knowledge and heart to those students she taught, family and friends. We are 17 years old.

Reason:
I am inspried by Audrey Banks, because her unwaivering and undieing commitment even at 78 years old and assisted so many. An Afirican American Single parent of 7, raised approximately 30 and housed hundreds on a teachers salary never said never or can't. They became our family. These foster kids are at a disadvantage and there are few services after care. It appears only I believe in Post Foster, and if neededOnly I will change the mind set of our country in this area.
