The Power of Horses at Saddlewood Farm
The Power of Horses is a project born out of the hope of four women who set out to change the lives of young people. These four ladies are experienced horse lovers and, knowing how much a horse can impact someone's life, began to use horses as facilitators in a therapeutic milieu. These wonderful creatures (the horses!) mirror your feelings for you and point out inconsistencies in your behavior so that you can become aware of them, which begins the healing process. This amazing work is helping kids who have given up and who have been given up on!

Horses have always played a special part in my life, especially when I struggled with breast cancer. My horse helped me through some very dark times. When I became involved with The Power of Horses, they helped me take my work to a whole new level and they have inspired me to work with horses and kids in a whole new way. This has been a major part of my healing, both physical and spiritual. I am grateful beyond measure.
