O projeto só obterá êxito se a Comunidade for a Protagonista destas ações. E para que isso ocorra a EDUCAÇÃO e FORMAÇÃO são imprescindíveis. Existem arquivos em diversos Museus que contam a História do povo negro, existem Sítios Arqueológicos e Locais de Memória que necessitam ser preservados, necessitam de manutenção constante e Monitores Culturais a altura para atuarem nesses locais. Existem Comunidades Negras que estão desaparecendo por falta de preservação de sua memória (os antigos estão morrendo e os jovens não querem continuar o processo iniciado por seus ancestrais), há uma perda muito grande da cultura negra ocorrendo no País e somente através do conhecimento da importância dela é que evitaremos seu total aniquilamento.
Que bela iniciativa. Vi na lista que também tem outra iniciativa em Cachoeira - BA da (iBENS) e pelas minhas viagens diria que existe um bom potencial de networking e/ou expansão dos roteiros.
Sim, nossa idéia é formar uma rede de Circuitos no Brasil com a temática da Cultura Negra, pois em cada região diferente do país temos a presença de diferentes grupos étnicos africanos que imprimiram sua marca cultural e acredito que possamos encantar o mundo com essas culturas, toda sua beleza, diferenças e semelhanças.

I believe that, this projetct is one of the most important in the world, in direction to preservate the memory culture by africans outside of Africa. They legacy can be preserved, if the others turist routs will be made.
C'est un projet très important pour la préservation de la culture africaine et de leurs descendants, dans une région située à proximité du plus grand centre économique du pays (qui est la cité de São Paulo) et donc, qui a perdu beaucoup des eléments uniques. L'objectif principal est l'inclusion des descendants dans la diffusion de leur culture par le tourisme, ce qui renforce l’identité de ces communautés et contribue à la transmission de la culture aux jeunes générations. Ce type de projet pourrait être adopté dans d'autres communautés au Brésil, il est très simple et même comme ça il a des excellents résultats pour la préservation de la culture afrobrésilienne.
Je suis heureuse d'avoir participé au documentaire en video qui décrit le projet! J'espère que le projet contribue et aide encore à d'autres nombreuses communautés.

“Terrific! This project demonstrates the spirit of geotourism. I really liked this entry because it is specifically looking at the preservation of culture. There are so many differing ways of integrating a country and looking beyond the differences. The Brazilian black culture is so interesting because it’s a different way in which slavery was born. With this project, you can see it and replicate it in other places where slavery happened. This is a great way of educating people in a very engaging way and allows for the same people who are participating to evaluate their history and culture in a way that has been forgotten for a while. This project succeeds because it is linked to tourism through a very different way.”
“Very courageous. People who are on the African Diaspora takes lots of courage, they are discouraged from doing so. To make this a geotourism adventure encourages them to engage in this project and encourages them to embrace who they are. Sometimes Africans in Brazil deny their heritage and this helps black people rediscover themselves. I thought this was very inspiring and could be replicated very much in Africa, especially in sub-Saharan Africa. People are under the same predicament from being colonized in Africa so this project could work in other ways as well.”
“I liked the “freedom route” approach to start to experience what people might have gone through and doing so in a fun, socially impactful way. This was an exciting development. It also lets local people know that it is very important to protect traditional culture for local natural resource conservation. This project marries social challenge with geo-tourism. I also thought the mapping idea was very innovative. The original goal and social impact of this project are good. But as indicated by Mrs. Solange Barbosa herself, it is difficult to qualify the black communities due to the absent of public sector. This problem may harm the application of the project.”

This project make sense and demonstrates the real spirit of Changemakers. It could be replicated in many places in the world. Rescue and preserve the african culture outside of Africa (diáspora). And this is the best answer to racial discrimination, integration by tourism. Cultural and social rescue, development sustainable, without alms.
