The Need: What problem are you trying to solve?

As it is known there are hundreds of NGO working for the social well fare for the women in villages in small towns. They do so by either by selling the products like jewellery , handicraft materials, pottery , decorative materials , traditional cloths to the urban market.
But for these NGOs need a platform to display their items, collaboration with different retailers which include large some of money. Because of the money constraint either they have to operate at small level or has to give up the cause.
It would to help these NGOs and indirectly women of lower income groups by setting e commerce portal for them where they display their items free of cost.

The Solution: What is your solution? Be specific!

The Idea is hidden in CSR policy of Government of India. As per Government of India CSR policy Indian Companies has to perform Annual CSR event . They have to spend 2% of their profits in CSR activities.
Here comes the role of e commerce portal. The Idea is to contact private and public sectors to buy products like stationary of a NGO from the ecommerce portal . Thus by doing so companies can fulfill their CSR commitment and also can help women of poor income level .

The money earned through ecommerce portal is planned to invest in social activities like providing clean drinking water , Private Health clinic , Computer education and training center.

What has been the impact of your solution to date?

As investment of 2% of the profit by company is usually in millions of rupees. This money can be invested in social welfare of lower economic zones. It can be utilized to provide better health services , setup of schools, purified drinking water , IT literacy centers, better sanitation etc

The model is unique in itself we not targeting a single company , but many for doing CSR activity. Similarly the money will not be utilized for a single cause ,it will be invested in different verticals of social cause as mentioned.

Investment is planned through seed funding from VC.
It is planned to get Technical and Strategy team from Engineering and Management students of Mumbai
