Describe Your Idea
Respecting laws of nature in farming is very important. Every season and seasonal vegetation has their importance. To go with nature is being healthy, hence rural india must continue its traditional farm practices.
How will you sustain your solution?
Since our program involves community participation where the communities are responsible for managing GVNML programmes, it is the most effective mechanism for us to sustain our efforts. We work with the community, government and other funding partners in making our efforts converged and successful.
What will be the impact of your solution?
Some of our main impacts are: 1. Pasture land development activity increased the productivity of pasture and upto 5-6 ft. long grass noticed and this provided green grass upto 3 month in drought situation. 2. Form bunding is directly benefited the alkanity and salinity affected agriculture fields.
3. Watershed interventions helped in increase of water table and total irrigated area. 4. The watershed village reduced the migration level of human and animal. 5. Community have witnnesed the benefits of super-vermi compost and horticulture plantation and are now getting more interested. None of our interventions support usage of fertilizers or biologically modified seeds.
