I have indicated on another site that has been initiated by an element of the GM Industry, that the main drive of these companies is not for the benefit of mankind throughout the world, but for a few irresponsible companies who are rushing to all produce some unproven technology and cross unrelated species of animals and plants with absolutely no idea or care, of the environmental result of their activities.
Their aim is to control the supply of the world's food and therefore, their profits and anyone who says otherwise can be viewed the same way as the world views Bush and Blair.
I for one want to see the strictest of controls applied to GM and the so-called research and not allow these plants or whatever into the environment until proven safe.
Companies that contaminate non-GM crops should be held liable and not able to seek royalties for having ruined another Farmers crops with their GM Pollen.
We know GM is completely unnecessary but we do need sound land management, less Robert Mugabe's in this world and a complete cessation of deforestation that is threatening the world's climate with all the attendant droughts.
