Disability and Development
Am a deaf Kenyan Living in the outskirks of the Nairobi City. Its what you would call a ghetto or a slum.
Personally am involved in Deaf tourism or accessible Travels by people with Disabilities. I focus on the Deaf. I have a tour Company called See Hear Tours and Safaris see www.seeheartours.com
On the side am involved in HIV/AIDS education and awareness for te Deaf. We have a group that teaches the Deaf about HIV/aids using Drama and puppets.
Our activities are well received although targets a small area due to lack of funds.
I would like to get more information about HIV/AIDS education for the Deaf, Prospects of getting a sponsor to spread out our programes to more Deaf people.
I also would like to know if there are Deaf people out there interested in Deaf Tourism.
