Western Cape Street Soccer League

The Western Cape Street Soccer League (WCSSL) uses football as a means of involving children and youths that live, work and sleep on the streets in positive activities that will assist them in moving off the streets to better lives. WCSSL is an initiative of local NGOs who work in close cooperation with the Departments of Social Development and Sports and Recreation in the City of Cape Town. These groups have come together in the WCSSL because of an acute awareness of the role that football can play in changing the lives of homeless and disadvantaged people.
