My name is Brennan. I’m a medical student and member of Tiyatien Health—a social justice based organization that delivers comprehensive primary healthcare in rural Liberia. Our mental health initiative, “Rebuilding Hope After War” is one of the 12 finalists in the “Rethinking Mental Health” competition.

Our community members, in Liberia and the U.S., are so excited about the opportunity with Changemakers. For the first time ever, Liberians suffering from depression and epilepsy—following two decades of brutal civil war—are receiving treatment. We’re not only delivering medical care through our passionate group of community health workers, but also working to reduce stigma and promote economic and social rights.

If you have any questions about “Rebuilding Hope After War,” please feel free to send me a message.

In Solidarity,
Brennan
