I really like that your idea is community-driven by drawing upon volunteers within the community, and that it provides tangible incentives to mothers to participate. I am wondering what your thoughts are on: 1) targeting mechanism to identify and recruit female volunteers; 2) incentives to attract female volunteers to participate; and 3) incentives to keep volunteers eagerly involved. I am also curious about any potential challenges you see in collecting the tax you mention that would be used to fund the incentive structure for the participation of mothers in this program. Do you see challenges to this, and if so, do you have any ideas to mitigate these challenges?

Dear Jessica
Though the word volunteer literally mean a person working for a cause without monitory gain, its the widely accepted truth that when the behaviour of the person is rewarded it tends to be rewarded. The same philosophy has enjoyed its application in business sector
1)There are Female community Health Volunteers in wards of the village who are working for the same cause, My basic idea is strengthening the skills of volunteers by training. To identify the volunteers we can select the literate females in village who are willing to give their time for the noble cause
2)The incentives for volunteers can be monitory award like rewarding the volunteer in whose ward maximum number of mother deliver their baby in health centres.
3)If we are able to continue our idea, then the volunteers will be happy to be engaged- training to improve their skill and award for their good work.
One problem is non willingness to pay by the family who are not giving birth to child any more. But once people are convinced that the tax they pay is used for their own benefit, people are motivated to pay.
The next problem can be that all people may not make same profit from their enterprise and paying the same amount would seem unfair on the surface. We can address it individually by looking upon the case

Dear Chudamani
thanks for your nice idea.I wonder about one idea, if you think about providing incentives to female community health vilunteers,
Since the provision of providing monitory awards would encourage many volunteers to apply, how will you select them?Wouldn't the failure to get selected cause negative impact upon them and what are the chances of getting help from those at that time?
