What impact have you had?

The program is in the idea phase.

Problem

I believe that Pathway alleviates the stigma of mental health, helps individuals re-engage in occupations that have meaning to them and encourages them to take an active role in improving their mental and physical health.

Actions

The program is in the idea phase.

Results

The program is in the idea phase.

What will it take for your project to be successful over the next three years? Please address each year separately, if possible.

In the first two years, I believe that the program should be started in North Carolina and undergo randomized research trials to see if it is effective. During the third year, the program could branch out to other states.

What would prevent your project from being a success?

I believe the program should be evidence based, so if the research component was not a part of the initial program it would not be successful in my opinion.

How many people will your project serve annually?

1001‐10,000

What is the average monthly household income in your target community, in US Dollars?

Less than $50

Does your project seek to have an impact on public policy?

What was the defining moment that led you to this innovation?

The stigma of mental illness is pervasive in this country. I believe that this program could help people realize that mental illness is similar to having a physical illness, and that neither is anything to be ashamed of.
