The Need: What problem are you trying to solve?
Globo Rojo da respuesta a las necesidades de materiales para Necesidades Educativas Especiales (N.E.E). Como consecuencia de la visita a diferentes terapeutas (psicopedagogo, fonoaudiólogo, psicólogo y neurólogo) del hijo de una de las socias, se pudo visualizar la falta de material de calidad para el desarrollo de las terapias relacionadas con el lenguaje; el material existente era escaso, costoso e importado. Aun peor contenía palabras que el niño no conocía ya que eran propias de España. Otros eran fabricados artesanalmente por la educadora. Ante la evidente precariedad de los materiales comenzó una investigación sobre el tema, a poco andar se descubrió un una necesidad que no tenía soluciones.

Globo Rojo ofrece soluciones integrales de diseño que apoyan y potencian las terapias y los procesos educativos relacionados con las Necesidades Educativas Especiales. Desarrolla y produce espacios, equipamiento y materiales que permiten resolver requerimientos específicos y necesidades de profesionales e instituciones. Globo Rojo trabaja en tres conceptos claves Diseño Universal, Educación e Inclusión

Los productos de Globo Rojo se insertan en una realidad con una creciente preocupación y demanda de materiales educativos. La educación en Chile es un tema de urgente discusión y el ámbito del diseño Universal puede marcar la diferencia en cómo aprendemos. Las soluciones de Globo Rojo tienen especial énfasis en el diseño y su contenido, específicamente en el desarrollo de temáticas que involucren la identidad local para hacerlos más efectivos y lograr la identificación y empatía. Apuntan a las principales dificultades de aprendizaje: lenguaje, matemáticas, terapias psicológicas. Por otra parte, los servicios de diseño entregan soluciones a través áreas de desarrollo y adaptación de productos, asesorías en la adquisición de material, diseño de espacios educativos, diseño de espacios en el hogar. Los servicios tienen la intención de entregar soluciones efectivas, reales y eficientes a los profesionales y familias de personas con Necesidades Educativas Especiales.
