ATTACHING NEWSPAPERS IN THE CURRENT EDUCATION SYSTEM
How the idea came into existence;
I wrote this idea and sent it to the Nation group through the postal system as it allowed people to sent their views.I don't know if they used my idea or someone else view but I had this idea.
How it was introduced;
This idea of learning through the daily newspapers was therefore introduced in my country (Kenya) in 2009. It was carried out by NATION MEDIA GROUP:THE DAILY NATION and TAIFA LEO offer their printouts in English and Kiswahili languages respectively.
The two papers have been Offering;
1) 2-3 pages of evaluation tests for primary school level pupils and secondary school level students.This has reduced the costs of purchasing evaluation tests papers,revision books and the transport to the Bookshops as the newspapers are available in every part of the country through the news paper agents.
2) essay competitions (in daily newspapers of the Taifa Leo)-This was carried out for both languages(giving the themes in Swahili and English)where the wining essay was awarded with a fee payment sort of funding.
3)estimated 3/4 a page in the DAILY NATION for technological studies-this was to enlighten people how certain equipments work like the infrared devices and many others.This has helped to boost the common knowledge of the Kenyan citizen and some parts of the neighboring countries were this newspaper reach its supplies.
This has been very beneficial to Kenyan students because most of the secondary schools can afford to purchase a few copies and at the same time the students can borrow from their parents, friends and neighbors.
How I plan my idea should be carried:
1.Offering 2-3 pages daily for college education and university for the first two days of the week which will be done by omitting some minor publications like the cartoons.
2.offering the same pages as above for secondary education for the next two days
3.in the last day of the week offering evaluation tests for testing what has been already published.
4.Offering essay competitions for all levels
For all these to be catered there their should be an increment in prices of the newspaper maybe from ksh 35 to ksh 45(which is not even equal to a dollar and this will be efficient.
According to my perception this idea should be incorporated in the learning programme by the ministry inconjuction with the newspaper company and the country's libraries to make it take up with the Syllabus as well as to make it easy to be accessed by all.

The Need: What problem are you trying to solve?
It has been a big gap between the rich and the poor in my country.This gap has been even more bigger in the education sector whereby the poor lack the necessary materials for their learning and at the end they are given the same evaluation tests.
My idea is to try to outdo this gap.Am also trying to update the students from the undeveloped areas by giving them access to what is happening at other part of the world,because apart from the academic message they will also read the newspaper and get updated.
Out of this updating the students and parents will be able to know what equipments they should strain to invest in their schools so that thy can be able to practice the new technologies they will be learning from this project.

The government should first adopt this idea of the nation media group and offer guidelines through the ministry of education on what should be put in the papers.
The school management should also adopt the idea and set a session in their learning schedule for each class to be going through this newspapers and strictly taking note of what is beneficial to the students.

1)My project will actually boost the country's literate people and bring equality in the financial unstable families and the rich.
2)The idea will also boost the county's economy and have many learning projects in progress.
3)The idea will also boost the people's common knowledge of technological devices.
4)The idea will also update the people daily happenings in the whole world.
5)The idea will let the learners to know the best learning institutions as they are advertised in the newspapers

My competitors may claim that its because of the cost of production and being government owned project leads to my success.
