Journey of Education
The idea is to take students from their homecountry to somewhere (preferably to another part of the globe) by ship. During this journey, students will be taking courses and attending various workshops at the ship. In workshops they can develop and improve parctical skills - anything from cooking to blowing glass. Whereas, during the courses they can learn about entrepreneuship, leadership, innovations - things that would facilitate economic development of African countries.
This is the experience, one would never forget - students will be able to find friends and develop their networks. Skills and knowledge, received in this journey will stay with them forever, because they would have been gained in such a memorable experience.
This idea has been successfully implemented, for example, in Finland, when Finnish students were taken to Brazil by ship. After the trip they published a broshure telling about their experience and encouraging others to try new forms of receiving education.
